College Crash Course (Virtual)

Presented by Huntsville City Schools District College Counselors.
All rising 12th graders in Huntsville City Schools are invited to participate in these college planning events!
- Sessions are open to 12th grade students. (Parents may view the recorded sessions at a later time.)
- In-person event will be held at Lee/New Century High lecture hall on Thursday, July 21, from 9AM - 12PM.
- Space is limited. Sign-up for the in-person event now!
- Students will be placed in groups to rotate through four college planning sessions.
- Participants will receive a college resource binder.
- Sessions include: Applying to College, College Costs, Careers 101, and a panel of college admissions representatives.
- Virtual event will be Tuesday, July 26 via Zoom.

- 10:00AM: Applying to College
- 11:00AM: College Costs
- 1:00PM: The Common Application
- 2:00PM: Scholarships & Financial Aid
- No registration necessary. Login sessions for Zoom sessions will be sent via email on July 25.
- If you are not currently receiving emails from college counselors, contact the one assigned to your school to be added to the list:
- GHS, JHS, LHS: Sheri Crigger
- CHS, HHS, NCTHS: Nancy Wolfe
- Student cameras/microphones will be turned off.
- We will utilize the chat function for questions.
- Presentations will last approximately 30 minutes with 10 minutes of Q&A at the end.
