Desegregation Status Conference
Judge Madeline Hughes Haikala will hold a public status conference in the Huntsville City Schools (“HCS”) Desegregation Case on August 28, 2019. During the status conference, attorneys for the Huntsville City School Board and the United States will discuss the District’s compliance with the terms of the April 2015 Consent Order. The conference will cover information in the Annual Report filed on November 15, 2018 by HCS. You can find the Court Report on the Consent Order page. Members of the Huntsville community are invited to attend the conference. The Court will hear oral comments from members of the public who are in attendance. Even after the status conference, members of the community are encouraged to remain engaged by attending public Desegregation Advisory Committee (“DAC”) Meetings and by submitting feedback to the DAC.
To be held at the United States District Court 2nd Floor Courtroom.
