HHS Student Named Presidential Scholar

A Huntsville City Schools student received the prestigious honor of being named a 2020 U.S. Presidential Scholar. Kittson Hamill, a senior at Huntsville High School, is this year's female scholar for the state of Alabama. As directed by executive order of the president, scholars are comprised of a young man and young woman from each state.

She joins more than 160 high school seniors across the country in the 56th class of U.S. Presidential Scholars. Students are selected by the White House Commission on Presidential Scholars based on their achievements in academics, the arts, and the career and technical education fields.

The Presidential Scholars Class of 2020 will be recognized for their outstanding achievement this summer as public health circumstances permit.
