Martin Luther King, Jr. Elementary celebrated its new look with a ribbon cutting on Thursday, July 14. The school now has added 7 new classrooms, a new gym, 2 new playgrounds, and a HEALS Clinic, complete with dental, vision, and medical services available. In addition, the existing facility has a complete makeover with new flooring, windows, led lighting, and fresh paint throughout, new bathrooms, a new stage in the cafeteria, and will also include new parking. Laurie McCaulley, President of the Board of Education, is excited to have this project complete for the students so they can have a brand new educational environment for learning. The facility will hold an open house on August 2, 2016, just before the first day of school for students.
