Teacher Spotlight: Mr. Patrick Holder
Congratulations to Mr. Patrick Holder of Lee High School, selected as this week’s Teacher Spotlight recipient!
“Building relationships with students is the number one thing a teacher can do,” says Lee High Principal Anne Jobe, “and he is just the person that does it the best in our building.” Mr. Holder can be seen taking students on weekend college tours, as well as attending a variety of extra-curricular activities to support students. He even videos every football game for the team. His students brag about his ability to connect to them as well. Aaneshea Moten says that he cares about “every aspect of a student, their life – not just when they’re at school but [also] their home life.” Christopher Holden says, “he takes the personal time to identify what they struggle with, and make it become a strength.”
When speaking of his students, Mr. Holder says that “they’re all going to go do great things, we just have to help them discover what they’re meant to do.” His exceptional level of care for students and drive to push them forward makes Mr. Holder an obvious inspiration in the classroom.
