Chanel V. Leslie

Teaching is my passion and it's in my blood. My great-grandmother graduated from Hampton Institute in 1917 with a degree in Education. She taught for almost 40 years!
I was born in New Jersey but consider Virginia my home. I've lived in Huntsville for 23 years which is where I met and married my wonderful husband, Curt. We have 3 adult children and 4 grandchildren.
I love traveling, am a die-hard Philadelphia Eagles fan, a serious coffee lover and I boast a 200+ pair collection of Converse All-Stars!
2010 Huntsville Times Golden Apple Award
2015-16 Academy for Academics and Arts Teacher of the Year
2015-16 Alabama PTA Teacher of the Year
