AAA Elementary Temporary Transition to Remote Learning

Out of an abundance of caution, AAA Elementary will temporarily transition to remote learning with multiple students and staff members self-quarantining.  The remote learning period will begin on Monday, Sept. 21, 2020 and last through Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2020. Students and staff members will return on Thursday, Oct. 1, 2020. Instruction will occur as it did during the remote learning period at the beginning of the school year before non-HVA students returned to in-person learning. Families who may have any questions are invited to contact their student’s teacher and principal.

One hundred years from now it will not matter what kind of car I drove, what kind of house I lived in, how much was in my bank account, nor what my clothes looked like. But the world may be a little better because I was important in the life of a child.

This saying sits on my desk in my office and reminds me daily why I teach. Being an art teacher at AAA since 2011 has been an enjoyable adventure. Having the opportunity to teach ALL ages has been a blessing, and this year I get to pour my love for the arts into the little ones as the Elementary Art teacher! When not at school, you can find me fishing, traveling to Louisiana to visit family and friends, teaching Art Appreciation at Calhoun Community College, or throwing a paint party. I am super excited about this year. Rather my teaching instruction be delivered virtually or face-to-face, I look forward to yet another successful year teaching young artists to reach their potential.
