Taylor Randolph

I am a Huntsville, AL native, and I could not be more excited to return to this city and to share my knowledge and experience with the next generation of dance artists. I began dancing at the age of fourteen, quite late for most dancers, however I had a ten year career as a competitive gymnast before that. I was first introduced to dance through my public high school program, and I absolutely fell in love with both the freedom of expression and the discipline of practice necessary to achieve a high proficiency in technical ability. I know first hand the power of arts programs within schools, and I want to be a resource for our youth to become empowered and emboldened, unique individuals.
Bachelor of Fine Arts, Dance, Troy University
Provisional Teaching Certificate in Dance
In addition to my collegiate curriculum in dance, I sought further training from the American Dance Festival where I took class daily from some of the nation's top dance educators. Too, I participated in masterclasses from leading professional dance companies, including Paul Taylor Dance Company, Rosie Herrera Dance Theatre and Pilobolus. Also while in college I was accepted into two highly competitive internships in New York City, NY- I was the Education Intern at the José Limón Dance Company and the Development Intern at RIOULT Dance NY. My responsibilities for my internship within the Education Department at the José Limón Dance Foundation included creating a resource guide for the organization's community outreach program, and well as facilitating and supporting community dance classes. My responsibilities for my internship within the Development Department at RIOULT Dance NY included researching and archiving grant opportunities for the organization. Post-graduation I have operated as a freelance dance educator and choreographer throughout the southeast.
