I began teaching 11 years ago after earning my degree from Auburn University. I also hold a Masters degree in Elementary Education from Auburn. I enjoy water skiing, crocheting, cooking, and reading.

My career began as a 5th grade classroom teacher in the Russell County School system at Ladonia Elementary School. After two years, my husband and I moved to the Birmingham area where I worked as a 5th grade teacher at Cherokee Bend Elementary in Mountain Brook City Schools for 4 years. I was fortunate enough to have been named Teacher of the Year during my time spent at Cherokee Bend Elementary. My family and I later moved to Huntsville where I spent my first year at Blossomwood Elementary in a 6th grade classroom. The last four years I have enjoyed my time as a 4th grade teacher!
