This will be my 12th year as a classroom teacher. I have worked with grades 4-6 throughout my career. I am married with two children, and live in the Jones Valley/Blossomwood area. I believe in our school and our community, and teaching at Blossomwood is such a joy for me.

I began teaching 12 years ago after earning my degree from Auburn University. I also hold a Masters degree in Elementary Education from Auburn. My career began as a 5th grade classroom teacher in the Russell County School system at Ladonia Elementary School. After two years, my husband and I moved to the Birmingham area where I worked as a 5th grade teacher at Cherokee Bend Elementary in Mountain Brook City Schools for 4 years. I was fortunate enough to have been named Teacher of the Year during my time spent at Cherokee Bend Elementary. My family and I later moved to Huntsville where I spent my first year at Blossomwood Elementary in a 6th grade classroom. The last five years I have enjoyed my time as a 4th grade teacher!
