Jamie Burton has been a public school educator in Alabama for 22 years. He has served students and their families in the following school systems: Mountain Brook, Hoover, Homewood, Shelby County, Boaz, and Huntsville. After graduating from high school, Mr. Burton spent the next four years in the U.S. Army as a Behavioral Science Specialist. Following his time in the military, Mr. Burton moved to Alabama where he obtained both a B.S. and M.Ed in the area of Elementary Education at the University of Montevallo. In addition to renewing his National Board Teacher Certification, Mr. Burton was also selected to participate in Alabama's very first National Institute for School Leadership (NISL) cohort.
