Principal's Weekly Message 2-10-20

Dear Blossomwood Families,

We have a great deal of positive momentum going forward at our school.

1) Our students have read 23,378 books, and they have read more than 107, 085, 326 words since August 6, 2019! (Based on our Accelerated Reader practice quizzes)

2) Chess Club - Our chess club had another excellent showing at the Rookie Rally last weekend.

Gr. K-3 Category:
Blossomwood won overall 3rd place!
Team members: Hudson Smith, Greer Lovell, Alice Hinton, Emma Harwood, Rylee Kelly, Addison Wiley, Johah Dankanich, and Johnny McLellan.

Gr. 4-6 Category:
Blossomwood won overall 2nd place!
Team members: Joyner Livingston, John Bailey, Eli Richardson, Jonathan Fleischer, and Addison Spadaro.

Two chess club members played in divisions individually. We are so proud of Samuel Billions and James Tatum.

3) City-wide PTA Reflections Contest Winners
Angie McLellan - Intermediate Music Composition
Sushila Arora & Maddie Wilkinson - Intermediate Literature

In order to sustain this rate of success, we need everyone at school each day unless they are sick. Please remember our school day begins at 8:00 am with students in class and ready by the 8:00 am bell. When students arrive to school after 8:00 am, a parent/guardian should come to the office to sign them in for school and provide a tardy note.

As always, thank you for helping us to make Blossomwood a great place for students!

Sincerely,
Bradley A. Scott, Ed.D.
