All Schools Transitioning to Remote

All Huntsville City Schools will transition to remote learning beginning Monday, Jan. 24 through Friday, Jan. 28. Students will return to campus on Monday, Jan. 31. HCS is joining school systems across North Alabama in transitioning to remote learning due to the impacts of COVID-19 and staffing availability. Rachel Hamby

Ms. Hamby is originally from Tennessee, but has made Huntsville, Alabama her home for the past 19 years. She moved to Huntsville to attend the University of Alabama in Huntsville and to play collegiate softball. She is beginning her 15th year as a teacher in Huntsville City Schools.

When Ms. Hamby is not teaching, she enjoys hiking, camping, sky diving, and playing with her dogs.
