Book Drive: Open Hearts, Open Books
Give back to your community! Please donate your new or gently used children's books!
Huntsville City Schools envisions a future where every child has the reading skills they need to reach their full potential. Through the 1st annual "Open Hearts, Open Books" book drive, parents and community members can help build high-quality K-2 libraries in every elementary school.
All HCS elementary schools will be collecting new and gently used children's books from January 14, 2019 to February 15, 2019. The books that are collected will be equally redistributed throughout the school district to ensure all 26 schools will receive high-quality children's literature. Collection boxes will be clearly labeled and placed in the front office of each elementary school. Together, we can help ALL our kids succeed in school and in life -- simply by giving them books!
