Chaffee Elementary News 8/8/2022

Principal's Pen

Greetings Chaffee Families!

We had a wonderful week at CES! Thank you for your continued support of our school. Everyone is settling into his/her new classroom very nicely. The students are learning the school’s expectations and procedures and are learning that Chaffee Choices Equal Success!

Thank you for your patience as we work through so many things at the beginning of the year. Carline is moving quicker each day. Thank you to the faculty and staff who have all pitched in to help in the mornings and afternoons. We truly are off to a fantastic start!

We have a few carline tips that you can follow to help us out tremendously!

  1. Pull all the way up until you reach the front of the line or the car in front of you before releasing or picking up your children.
  2. When it is time to come through the line to pick up, it is helpful if cell phones are not in use.
  3. If your child needs assistance buckling, please pull forward to do so, so we can load/unload more cars behind yours while you buckle. We definitely want everyone buckled up!
  4. At pick up time, if you will leave your car tag up until your child is in the car, it will help the teachers know which child to look for when you pull up.
  5.  When dropping off your child it would be helpful if he/she is ready to get out of the car with backpack in hand and you have said your goodbyes before the door opens. Please do not get out of your car in the car line.

Also, a reminder that all school visitors must check in through the front office using his or her driver’s license, so please have it with you if you plan to visit and/or check out your child. Thank you for a GREAT start to the school year! It has absolutely been a team effort between teachers, parents, guardians, and students! I hope you all have a wonderful Sunday. I hope your family will join us at Friday's Back to School Splash!
