All Schools Transitioning to Remote

All Huntsville City Schools will transition to remote learning beginning Monday, Jan. 24 through Friday, Jan. 28. Students will return to campus on Monday, Jan. 31. HCS is joining school systems across North Alabama in transitioning to remote learning due to the impacts of COVID-19 and staffing availability. Rachael Black

My name is Rachael Black. I am from New Albany, Mississippi. My family and I moved to the area eleven years ago. My husband is from Huntsville and he is a Grissom graduate. I have two daughters. Ryleigh is 17 years old and Raegan is 14 years old. They both love to play soccer, which keeps me very busy. We live in Athens so we can be close to my husband's family. I have three dogs- Tia, Tori, and Bailey.

8 years in Mississippi- 3 years in kindergarten and 5 years in second grade
9 years in Alabama- all 9 in kindergarten
