Rhonda came to Chaffee in January 2013 from Morris Elementary, where she worked with the Physical Education Department for 13½ years. While at Morris she served on the state board for Physical Education, the only non-certified person to ever serve on this board. Rhonda also worked at Monte Sano Elementary and Ridgecrest Elementary as the Extended Day Lead Teacher and a dedicated substitute teacher from 1986 – 1998.
She grew up in Glencoe, Alabama, where she graduated high school. Rhonda is the ninth child of a family of sixteen. She met her loving husband, Danny in 1972 and were married in 1974. They have two amazing children, Melissa and Micah. They have given her the greatest blessings of her life, 5 wonderful grandchildren, Jonathan, Preston, Emily, Payton and Parker. The oldest grandson is now married and has a stepson which makes her a great-grandmother. Rhonda loves spending time with all the grandchildren, going to the beach and the mountains, playing card games and having campfires in the backyard.
