End of Semester Updates
Dear Challenger Families,
We are quickly winding 2021 down. I am excited to report that the majority of our students showed 1/2 year or more of growth on the STAR assessments. Everyone has been working hard and it shows in our test scores! The parent report will be coming home with the report card on January 7th.
Congratulations to our Speech Language Pathologist, Lydia Craft, and third grade teacher, Mia Ruffin, on their attainment of National Board Certification. This is a very rigorous process and we will all benefit from their accomplishments! Congratulations also to fifth grade teacher, Erin Singletary, on her attainment of a Master of Education Degree. We are so proud of all of these talented teachers.
We also have such good students! We have 918 POSITIVE Bloom reports for the school year so far! The majority of students will be joining us for a good behavior celebration on Thursday. We celebrate our AIM HIGH expectations of Acting Respectfully, Interacting Responsibly, and Managing Time by focusing on good behavior.
Please help me welcome two new educators to Challenger. Ms. Madison Cantrell is our new collaborative teacher for K-2 students. She comes with an abundance of energy and enthusiasm. Mrs. Liane Wrinn is our new kindergarten teacher and is very familiar with Challenger since her own children are at Challenger.
We look forward to a productive and fast paced 2nd semester with lots of new learning and activities. Enjoy the time away from school with friends and family. We all reserve a rest!
