Jin DeBow

Background:
Born in South Korea, only child, graduated from high school, but did not finish college there. All of my family and relatives still live in Korea. Moved to United States in 1988 with my husband and 4 month year old daughter, who is an only child. We lost my husband, after he suffered from acute myeloid leukemia in 2006. My daughter, Patricia, is an Auburn girl who graduated from there in 2010. She went back to Auburn to study Veterinary Medicine and received DVM in May 2018.

I was planning to go to a law school when I had an opportunity to work with children with special needs. It was then that I fell in love with those children and wished to have my own class, so I could continue to work with them. So, I went to school, received my master’s degree in special education in 2006, and have been teaching since.
