It is my privilege and honor to be the Chapman Elementary Principal. I look forward to a wonderful year of learning and growing with our amazing students, teachers, parents, and community members.

I believe in all children and I also believe that learning is fun. When we set high expectations for learning in a nurturing, positive environment, children thrive and feel successful. My goal is to ensure that every student is provided the highest quality education possible in a safe and supportive learning environment. Working together as a team with our staff, parents, and community, I am committed to helping each student achieve their very best. Every student is valuable and worthy of our best efforts.

Native Huntsvillians are few and far between but I am a five generational Huntsvillian and a product of Huntsville City Schools! My father grew up in this community and was a student in Lee High School's first graduating class. Zestos, Mullins, Jackson Way and my grandparents' house on Valley Brook Drive hold special childhood memories for me . This community has always been a part of my life.

This year will be exciting and very rewarding for every student. I encourage your partnership as we work as a team.
I am truly blessed to be the instructional leader of such an incredible school community.

With this new school year I begin my twenty-fifth year with Huntsville City Schools. I spent seventeen years as a classroom teacher at Monte Sano Elementary and Mountain Gap P-8. I then transitioned into the position of an instructional partner for one year at Mountain Gap and two years at Weatherly Elementary. This year begins my fifth year as an administrator.
