Counselor

Welcome to the Counselor's Office! I am excited to be a part of this growing family of students, faculty, and community members. I hope you will join with the efforts to achieve success for our students physically, emotionally, socially, and academically. The Chapman School Counseling Office will offer its services through one full-time counselor.

All students will receive assistance through guidance this year. I will work to advocate for each student to ensure they receive all opportunities available to him or her. The services offered include crisis response, classroom guidance, and small group instruction.

As the counselor, I will review a school-wide needs assessment and determine the areas in which to focus my efforts. Teachers and parents can refer a student to see the counselor by phone, email, or filling out a referral form. A student is welcome to meet with a counselor to address any concerns or needs. Within the guidance office, students have the opportunity to address anger management, peer mediation, bullying,  academic concerns, social crisis, or celebrate a positive moment! I can also arrange parent conferences for you if you would like to meet with all of your child's academic teachers at one time.

I feel as though my duty as counselor is to ensure your child’s ability to attend a school that offers a safe environment, assist them to cope with challenging situations, and receive an appropriate education. Please join this effort by taking the time to communicate with me your concerns, needs, positive feedback or interest in volunteering. I love being able to assist my students with long-term success.
