JROTC Helps With Community Shred Day

The Eagle Battalion participated in the City of Huntsville, Community Shred Day. The event was held Saturday, 30 Apr, 2022 at the Calhoun Community College Huntsville's Campus on Wynn Dr. The Better Business Bureau of North Alabama offered free document shredding and electronics recycling to area residents and small businesses and the JROTC students from Columbia were there to lend a helping hand with a total of 38 cadets!

The Eagle Battalion assisted in the drive up and drop off line by receiving and destroying paper documents, sensitive materials and electronic devices from area and community residents!

Engaging in community service activities such as this provides the cadets with opportunities to become active members in the community which will have a lasting, positive impact on society as a whole.
