Kelli Proctor

I was born and raised in Washington State. I'm married with two children. I grew up and went to school in Renton, WA and graduated from Oliver M. Hazen High School. After graduating, I traveled as an exchange student to Toluca, Estado de Mexico, Mexico where I lived with a host family for the summer. I then studied at the University of Washington, Seattle Campus. While studying at the U of W, I continued working in the field of Aquatics with the Seattle Department of Parks and Recreation as a lifeguard and swim instructorand first aid/C.P.R. instructor. During my senior year at the U of W, I returned to Toluca to spend a semester at La Universidad Autónoma del Estado de Mexico. I received my B.A. in Spanish in 1990 followed by my teaching certificate through the College of Education at the U of W in 1991. I began my teaching career teaching both Spanish and ELL in September, 1991 at Kentridge High School in Kent, WA. I then transferred to Kentwood High School in 1998 where I continued to teach Spanish. During my tenure at Kentwood H.S., I served as World Language Department leader, served on the technology committee, was an Intel Teach to the Future Master Teacher.
