Kevin Vickery

Bonjour! As both a high school and university student, I had the opportunity to live and study in France. I am originally from Iowa, and I moved to Pensacola, Florida in 2009. I graduated from Sioux City East High School in 1978 and attended Iowa State University Of Science and Technology from 1979-1981 and graduated with a degree in French and International Studies. In 1987, I graduated from Kansas State University with a degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies. I have completed post graduate work at Iowa State University in Educational Leadership as well.

From 1989 to 2014 was principal and superintendent at Clay Central/Everly Middle School, Creston Middle School, Whiting Communitys. and catholic schools in the Diocese of Sioux City and Pensacola-Tallahassee. This is my first year as a teacher at Huntsville City Schools and Columbia High School.

I currently teach French I, II and III. I also teach IB French SL for year 3 and 4. I believe that every child has the great potential to learn and grow.

When not in the classroom, I have a great love for the theatre and choral music performance. I have had the privilege to work with many different theatre and choral groups. In short, I love to sing. I also am an avid walker and world traveler.
