Megan Cobbs

I am a native Huntsvillian. I graduated from Grissom High School and attended the University of Alabama in Huntsville. I received my degree in Secondary Spanish Education. I was a member and the President of UAH's Foreign Language Honor Society as well as a member of the Educational Honor Society. I began taking Spanish in high school and immediately felt like it was something that I needed to pursue. I taught ESL and Spanish for five years. In 2014, I decided to pursue a degree in Instructional Leadership. I earned the Instructional Leadership degree from Jacksonville State this in May of 2015. Because of my background in foreign language, I have a big interest in international education and love being in the IB programme at Columbia. I am excited to begin this school year as the Middle Years Programme (MYP), Diploma Programme (DP), and Career-Related Programme (CP) Coordinator for the school. In my spare time, I enjoy crafts, singing, and attending Alabama football games.
