Model UN Team Participates in a National Competition in Washington DC!
Columbia's Model UN Team traveled to Washington, D.C. on February 16th through 19th to participate in the North American Invitational Model United Nations (NAIMUN). NAIMUN is sponsored by Georgetown University's Walsh School of Foreign Service.
Students collaborated with over 3,300 other student participants from across the nation and the world. Students prepared position papers for two topics that deal with international issues.
Students represent an assigned country and are assigned to various committees in which they work with other delegates to pass resolutions to solve international issues over a specific topic. Columbia's students represented Kenya, Cambodia, and North Korea in various committees.
While in Washington, D.C. students were able to visit museums and monuments!
