Rachel Pendergrass

Hello everyone! I am so glad to be at Columbia High School. I teach Government and Economics and AP World History. I have always had a passion for the past. Both my mother and my father are retired school teachers, and I have always felt that in the classroom is where I belong. I enjoy seeing students light up when they make the connections from the past to the present day and use the skills they learned in their future as well. I find that my students are enriching to my daily life because I am constantly learning from them as well.

When I am not in the classroom you can probably find me at the ball field. I love being involved in the Athletic Program here at Columbia High School as well. In my free time I adore spending time with my Olde English Bulldogge named Willow. She and I go on many adventures together. We enjoy being outside and hiking and cooking and eating new interesting food! I also travel any chance that I get! I think surrounding ourselves with new experiences is the best way to learn! if you have any questions! You can reach me best by my email.
