3rd Grade Travels the World!

This week third grade learned about Holidays Around the World by traveling to different countries with our passports and luggage. First we traveled to Germany, France, and Mexico to learn how different countries celebrate Christmas. Next we traveled to India and learned about Diwali, the Festival of Lights. We even created our own Rangolis. We then traveled to the United States to learn about Kwanza and the seven principles celebrated. China was the next country we went to and learned about the Chinese New Year. We learned how 2019 was the year of the Pig and next year will be the year of the Rat. We even made Chinese lanterns! Lastly, the students rotated amongst the teachers to learn, read, make crafts, and taste treats used to celebrate three more holidays: Cinco di Mayo, Eid, and Christmas in Norway.
