All Schools Transitioning to Remote

All Huntsville City Schools will transition to remote learning beginning Monday, Jan. 24 through Friday, Jan. 28. Students will return to campus on Monday, Jan. 31. HCS is joining school systems across North Alabama in transitioning to remote learning due to the impacts of COVID-19 and staffing availability. Beth Melton

Mrs. Melton received her Master’s degree in Reading from the University of Dayton, and her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of Florida. She came to Huntsville City Schools in 1998. She began her teaching career in San Antonio, Texas where she taught 5th grade. Her teaching career also includes teaching 1st, 3rd and 4th grades, as well as working as a Reading Coach. Mrs. Melton was born and raised in Rockledge, Florida. She is married and has two grown children and three grandchildren. She enjoys spoiling her grandchildren, reading, traveling, and cheering for the Gators!
