Dawn Davison Brown

Dawn Brown
I was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky, home of the famous Kentucky Derby! I KNEW when I was 5 years old that I would become a teacher one day and my dream came true! My undergraduate degree is from the University of Kentucky (Go Big Blue!), and my graduate work was completed at Eastern Kentucky University. Having taught children of all ages in Lexington, Kentucky, many special memories were made. In 1993, I moved to Madison, Alabama with my husband, Rick, after he was transferred to the Redstone Arsenal. I have been teaching in Huntsville since then and have enjoyed making the community of Farley Elementary my "family of friends". Our second grade classroom is referred to as "Browntown: A Safe and Friendly Community". My goal is to provide a strong academic program along with encouraging lifelong responsibilities of citizenship. My interests include traveling, Broadway Theatre productions, crafts, and most of all, spending time with my cats! We have four fantastic felines! I'm blessed with a wonderful home, friends, students and families here in Alabama!

"There's no word in the language I revere more than the word "teacher". My heart sings when a kid refers to me as his teacher, and it always has. I've honored myself and the entire family of man by becoming a teacher."
