Goldsmith Awards 

  • Goldsmith-Schiffman is a Blue Ribbon School of Excellance

  • Goldsmith-Schiffman's PTA received The Huntsville Council of PTA's (HCPTA) award for Welcoming All Families last year

  • Mrs. Douthit, our principal was selected as the AL State and HCPTA's Administrator of the Year. 


  • Goldsmith Schiffman received 2 PPG Grants for the school to supports teachers and programs. 

  • HCPTA also awarded Goldsmith a grant to support Green Fling. 


Goldsmith-Schiffman Student Celebrations

  • College and Career Week- Early each September GSES students participate in special events that encourage students to begin this school year with their future in mind. This is a great time to talk to your children about the importance of education. ​

  • Red Ribbon Week- At GSES our Red Ribbon Week activities are a fun way to promote healthy living. Students learn to make positive choices, eat healthy, and be active.

  • Veterans' Day Parade-At GSES we celebrate veterans and our military family members. Our special program includes guest speakers, a parade through the halls, and posting of the colors  at the flag pole.​

  • No Place for Hate- No Place for Hate is an initiative of the Anti-Defamation League offered free to schools. The initive is designed to rally the entire school around the goal of creating a welcoming community committed to sptooping all forms of bias and bullying for studnets at all grade levels. No Place for Hate provides a unique framework to incorporate new and existing programs with one consistent message.

  • International Night - Is one of our No Place for Hate annual events to promote a school culture of acceptance of diversity in our world. Join us for a  evening of exploring countries, cusine from around the world, and crafts.

  • Gold Rally -At GSES we celebrate student accomplishments.  All grade levels have a special award ceremony at the end of the school year.  Parents are invited to attend.
