Weather Notice

Due to the potential for icy road conditions, Huntsville City Schools will operate on a 2-hour delay on Tuesday, December 11, 2018. The two-hour delay will also apply to all HCS employees, unless otherwise directed by your supervisor.  All elementary, middle, P-8, and junior high classes will begin at 10:00am.  All high school classes will begin at 10:30am.  For more information about the weather decision process, please click for more information below.

Helen Dalizu

I am originally from Kenya. I graduated from Earlham College Richmond, Indiana with a BA degree in Education. After that I went back to Kenya and taught for about 5 years meanwhile I met and married Norbert. We have three children Stanley, Donald and Leah. I have taught preschool, Day Care, Developmental Kindergarten, 5th grade, 3rd grade, 2nd Grade and Kindergarten. I have a Master’s Degree In Elementary Education from Alabama A &M. I am starting my 18th year with Huntsville City Schools.

I have been a team mom for our children’s soccer teams. I enjoy reading especially if I can travel and enjoy new places and cultures as I read I also read anything reading that’s be a best seller. I’m a sports junkie. I volunteer at one of the community centers. I occasionally watch a movie.
