Lisa Turner RN

I am new to the Huntsville area. We moved here from Sand Rock, AL in June 2019. My son and I love to ride bikes, fish and play video games. My husband, son and I love to travel, find new restaurants to try, playing basketball and baseball. My son, Owen, attends Hampton Cove Middle School. We attend Rivertree Church. My family fell in love with Huntsville quickly. I hope to always be a positive influence on the students by making them feel safe and protected. Even if its only with a band aide or an ice pack.

Other Staff
During nursing school I worked as an intern at Gadsden Regional Medical Center. After passing nursing boards I applied for my Georgia license and started working at Floyd Medical Center on an orthopedic and neurological floor. The hospital reconstructed the units and I chose to stay on the neurological side. I assisted in achieving the certification of being a National Stroke Center for FMC. I worked on the Neuro ICU unit taking care of stroke patients, closed head injuries, spinal cord injuries just to name a few. FMC is a level 2 trauma center which I pariticipated in disaster drills and planning for disasters. The last 6 years at FMC I worked on the Caridiac Step Down unit where we managed acute myocardial infarctions, high risk chest pain, heart caths, pacemaker implants, and many other caridiac diagnoses and procedures. I chose to leave FMC after getting married and moving to Huntsville, AL. I had almost 20 years at Floyd Medical Center and if I ever move back that way I will choose to work there again.
