Weather Notice

Due to the potential for icy road conditions, Huntsville City Schools will operate on a 2-hour delay on Wednesday, December 11, 2019. The two-hour delay will also apply to all HCS employees, unless otherwise directed by your supervisor.  All elementary, middle, and junior high classes will begin at 10:00am.  All high school classes will begin at 10:30am.  Buses will also run on a two-hour delayed schedule. 


Huntsville City Schools Weather Safety Team, working in conjunction with the EMA and other local agencies, will continue to monitor conditions and send out updates should any additional changes be necessary.  For more information about the weather safety decision process, please select the more information link below.

Pamela Tyson

I am Pamela Tyson. I was born and raised in Huntsville
AL. I am a mother of 2 girls who take up about 99% of my time. I enjoy reading, bowling and spending quality time with my family and friends.
I am a product of Huntsville City Schools. I attended Colonial Hills Elementary now Martin Luther King Jr. Next I attended Chapman Middle. I completed my public education journey at Lee High School. I furthered my education at Alabama A&M where I earned my Bachelors in Elementary Education with a minor in Early childhood.
I have been a teacher with Huntsville City Schools since 1999. I have spent my time at two schools. Dawson Elementary and Goldsmith Schiffman Elementary.
