Pre-K Apple Tree Engineering
Students in Pre-K were learning about Trees. We talked about what food trees provide us with and made a list. Students were told they were going to be given materials to create their very own apple tree. They were given paper towel rolls, wooden sticks, and pom poms to represent apples. Students then started building their trees out of these materials. They counted how many "apples" they could put on top to balance. They counted how many "branches" their tree contained. Each student built their tree in a different way. They truly enjoyed this fun activity that only took a few materials.
