Diana Mercedes Howell
I am a native Spanish speaker from El Paso, Texas. I like to call myself American grown with Mexican roots. I teach Spanish I and Spanish II. My research areas include Chicano studies, New Americans, and Latin American Government and Politics. I have interned abroad in San Jose, Costa Rica at the Centro de Estudios Para La Paz (Center for Peace Studies) and worked as a fellow for Nashville's Mayor's Office of New Americans. I love sharing my culture with students and teaching them the beautiful language!
