Jacob Moon

History is a deeply complex and complicated subject that requires a great deal of care and attention to understand in a meaningful way, and this is precisely why I love it. I have lived my entire life in pursuit of a greater understanding of history and its depths and complexities, as it is never simply black and white, but exists rather in shades of grey.

My goal is to teach history in a way that is understandable to students, incorporating an understanding of the issues that persist throughout history which incarnate themselves in different ways. These Persistent Issues in History define how we view history and how I plan to use it to help my students become informed and respectful democratic citizens in our shared modern world.
