Jeff Dunnavant

This school year will also be my at Grissom and my ninth year teaching overall. I will teach 9th grade English and coach Girls Basketball. I am married with two children. My wife Lindsey is also a teacher. I have two daughters, Hayden and Charlotte. Hayden is six years old and is starting the first grade this year. Charlotte just turned one on July 16. In 2004 I graduated from the University of Alabama with a degree in Journalism and I earned my masters in Instructional Leadership from Samford University in 2016. In addition to teaching and coaching, I have several hobbies that I love to participate in. My favorite activity is running. Over the past two years I have run in three half marathons and two other races of over 10 miles. My fastest half marathon is a 1:46. My other hobby is attending Alabama football games. I have had season tickets to Bama games since I was five years old (1987) and I’ve been to more than 200 games.
