Melanie Berbrier

After working at Grissom as a substitute teacher for 10th grade English in the Spring of 2020, I am very excited to join the Grissom team as a full-time teacher this year! I have over twenty years of writing experience in the advertising industry and am also a published author. As a parent of teenagers, I understand that every student brings something truly unique to the classroom, and it is my greatest desire as a teacher to get to know my students individually so I can help them grow academically and emotionally. Improving my students' critical thinking and communication skills so vital to their future success is my number one goal.

In addition to my husband and children, I have three dogs and two birds that keep me on my toes. I enjoy bicycling, swimming, movies and plays, reading and exploring new places.
