Mrs. Dion Lucas

Mrs. Lucas has been at Grissom High School since 2016 after teaching twelve years within Liberty Public Schools in Liberty, Missouri. She chairs our math department, leads our positive behavior interventions support team, and provides wellness tips from her published books STOP RUNNING AWAY and FLUSH IT & GO WITH THE FLOW to help people manage their stress. Also, Mrs. Lucas is a professional drummer and percussionist who enjoys collaborating music into her lesson plans. Her favorite song is titled “Ordinary People” by Danniebelle Hall because she likes to be an ordinary person doing extraordinary things for her community and country.
