I am a native of Blountstown, Florida which is located in the Florida Panhandle. I have worked for Huntsville City Schools for 22 years. I began my teaching career at Lee High School, where I spent ten years teaching mathematics. After Lee, I taught at Huntsville Middle School for seven years. After 17 years in the classroom, I began my administrative career as a Teacher On Special Assignment (TOSA) at Westlawn Middle School. After one year as a TOSA, I received my first principal's job at Jones Valley Elementary School. During my two year tenure at Jones Valley, the school received the Blue Ribbon Schools of Excellence Lighthouse Award, which is the highest award given by the Blue Ribbon Schools of Excellence. After two years at Jones Valley, I was promoted to the principal's position at Grissom High School. I am extremely honored for the opportunity to be the instructional leader at Grissom.
