Brittany Hickerson

Hi! I am Ms. Hickerson and I am new this year to Hampton Cove Elementary School. This will be my ninth year as a teacher. I grew up in Greenhill, Alabama and attended college at Samford University. After graduation, I joined Teach for America and began my career as an educator in Houston, Texas. I've taught in various districts in Texas, and completed my MEd degree at Texas A&M University.
The past several years I have been home with my daughters. I am thrilled to be back in north Alabama to be close to my family, and thrilled to be back in the classroom doing what I love. I believe school should be FUN, a class is a family, and children should always feel loved and respected.
I enjoy traveling, reading, and cheering for the Crimson Tide. I can't wait to meet you and your family!
