Hawk News from the Principal 11/9

Hello HCES families!

We would like to thank and celebrate all of our Veterans for their service to our country! This week, school is closed on Wednesday, Nov. 11th, in honor of Veterans Day.

Thank you all for helping to expedite our car rider line, it is moving faster. There are a few reminders below that our security officer has shared:

  • Keep moving cautiously after the intersection, the person on duty at the crosswalk will stop traffic if needed to cross pedestrians.
  • Make sure students have everything ready to exit the vehicle.
  • Middle school students may, and are encouraged to, get out with siblings at HCES and walk to HCMS.
  • HCES students may NOT walk from HCMS. Elementary students must be dropped off at the elementary school, not the middle school.

Picture day is coming soon! Traditional students will have their picture taken on Wednesday, Nov. 18th. HVA students will have their pictures taken on Thursday, Nov. 19th from 9:00-12:00. HVA siblings can make one trip for pictures, parents can choose a class time. HVA teachers will share their class picture time with parents.
