Hawk News from the Principal

Hello HCES Family!

Thank you all for hanging in there with us and making our first week such a success! We know that your role as parent has taken on a whole new meaning and believe us when we say THANK YOU for all you are doing to support your children. We also appreciate your kindness and flexibility during this time and our teachers have reported that our students are turning in their assignments in a timely manner and are tuning in for Zoom, Seesaw, and Google Team meetings! We are here to help support you all! And...as an added surprise bonus...some of you may just see your very own teachers teaching some of the district lessons beginning this week! I am so proud of our HCES teachers, students, and parents! We are all in this together! And it may help you to know that we repeated the following affirmations to ourselves at school on many occasions....maybe daily! :)

We are kind.

We are problem solvers.

We can do hard things.

I would also like to remind you that the assignments are due the following day at 6:00 p.m. A few of our parents thought the assignments were due on Friday so I wanted to clarify. We don't want anyone to get behind on their assignments.

We are always here to support you! As always, email me at christina.spivey@hsv-k12.org if you need support or have questions or concerns.

Thank you all,

Ms. Spivey
