Donna E. Cole
I love teaching art and making connections to other teaching areas; as well as the connections to our world in general. I have been teaching art for over fifteen years. I began teaching in Jefferson County School System in Birmingham, Alabama. I have taught classes from Pre-Kindergarten up to 12th grade (both in public and private schools). I have also taught classes at the Birmingham Museum of Art from 2004 to 2011. I intend to provide a warm and welcoming environment for students where they feel free to express their creativity. Students will explore artists from the past and the present and art styles in order to build on the past and create a new future. My projects are open ended, challenging, and at the same time explained in a way that will put the student at ease. I have two daughters, Katherine and Kamylle and two dogs, Maxwell and Picasso Blue.
