Principal's Message (November 16)

  • HCMS Teacher of the Year! Congratulations to Mrs. Kiersten Bell for being named as the HCMS Teacher of the Year. HCMS is a great school because of your genuine concern for students, engaging instruction, and leadership. Thank you for all you do seen and unseen. We truly appreciate you!
  • Do you want to help our students & teachers? We need substitute teachers! Not only will you get to see your child periodically throughout the day in the school setting, but you will also meet the other students, staff, and faculty. As if that is not enough… substitute teacher pay has been raised to $140.00 per day! We could really use your help!
  • Drop Off & Pick Up – if you are dropping off an HCES (Elementary) student, your middle school student may unload at HCES and walk on the sidewalk around to the middle school. Then you can use the left lane to bypass middle school drop off!
  • The HVA enrollment window for the second semester opened on October 26 – Nov 18, 2020. Any student that wants to attend, even if they were HVA for the first semester, must register within the window. If you would like to unenroll as an HVA student, simply do not enroll for the second semester and your child will automatically be switched to a traditional student. Please be aware that teachers and classes may change!

Hello Bulls,

Thanksgiving Break is almost here! November offers the gentle reminder to reflect and focus on the “good” things in life. While we are facing challenging and uncertain times together, we do have so many things to be grateful for. I, in particular, have so much to say thank you for.

First, I am grateful for our students. They are our source of inspiration and the embody the dreams we have for the future of our country. Through our students we experience joy, hope, and the promise of tomorrow. Our students would not be the incredible people they are without the nurturing support of their parents. Every HCMS family should take great pride in the job you are doing raising your children. The families we comprise make up our incredible community. A community that promotes education and extracurricular opportunities for our youth. A community that is engaged, active, and supportive. Finally, I am thankful for the HCMS staff. Every member of our team is pivotal to our daily success and to our ability to educate students. The HCMS staff gives endlessly of their heart and time to elevate our students, school, and community.

Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to become part of HCMS. I am grateful and beyond thankful every day.
