This Week at HCMS (Sept 2)
Thank you for joining us for the annual Bulls N BBQ, PTA and Open House last week! It’s a great event for all of our families and teachers to get to know each other. Be sure to mark your calendar for this Friday, September 6 at 8:15 for Coffee and Conversations in the library. I’ll be sharing some highlights about our school and what we can do to make sure your child has a successful year in middle school.
In advisory this week and next, we’ll be discussing the differences in rude, mean, and bullying behaviors. Our conversations will focus on how we can be more inclusive rather than exclusive when interacting with each other. I encourage you to continue to talk with your child at home about what they can do to be a part of the solution rather than part of the problem when it comes to bullying. Your child may want to consider becoming a member of our Every Voice Heard and/or GSA student led clubs sponsored by Mrs. Hill and Mrs. Bell. Both groups lead us in making Hampton Cove Middle School a No Place for Hate site.
Thank you for all you do to support our school and community. I’m looking forward to another great week of leading and learning!
