Reading Through Summer
Highlands would like to thank the Kiwanis Club for donating books to our students to read over Summer Break. Our students enjoyed parading outside under the breezeway looking for the perfect summer book to take home. Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to improving the world one child and one community at a time.
We would like to encourage our students to read at least twenty minutes a day during the Summer. Huntsville City Schools has provided a suggested reading list for each grade level.
The North Huntsville Public Library is now open. This branch is located at 3011 Sparkman Drive Huntsville, AL 35810. If you and your student do not have a Huntsville-Madison County Public Library Card this would be a great Summer to get one and explore the new North Huntsville Public Library.
