First Day of School

Monday, August 17 is the first day of school for the 2020-21 term.  Students enrolled in the Traditional Learning Framework will begin the 1st 9 weeks in Remote Learning due to the current COVID-19 health situation.  For information about what that will look like this year, please click the more information button below to view the Reset Plan Information Hub.

2019 State Festival Trumbauer Awards Results

Huntsville High Theater students participateded in the 2019 Trumbauer State Festival over the wekend of January 5th and brought home 18 state awards.

Awards:

  • Ford Beshirs won the $1,000 Alabama Conference of Theatre scholarship.
  • Duncan Smith was first alternate for the Alabama Conference of Theatre scholarship.

    • BEST IN SHOW - The Trench - Advancing to SETC
    • BEST SCENERY - The Trench
    • BEST TECHNICAL PRODUCTION - The Trench
    • BEST ACTOR - Duncan Smith - The Trench
    • BEST SUPPORTING ACTOR - Tavin Schroff -The Trench
    • ONE ACT ALL-STAR CAST - Addie Holder, Ella Stanley, Caroline Morris
  • INDIVIDUAL EVENTS
    • DUET ACTING CONTEMPORARY DRAMATIC - VARSITY - 3rd place: Ella Stanley and Ford Beshirs
    • GROUP ACTING - VARSITY - 1st place: Ben Blankenship, Alex Davey, Owen Emerson, Evan Gilbreath, Gus Goldsmith, Chandler Labella, Riley Mathews, and Tavin Schroff
    • SOLO MUSICAL FEMALE COMEDIC - VARSITY - 2nd place: Sophie Hosna  
    • DUET MUSICAL DRAMATIC - VARSITY - 3rd place: Troy McMullen and Caroline Brooks
  • COSTUME DESIGN - NOVICE - 1st place: Kalyssa Speth
