Blended Learning & Spring Break Feeding

All Huntsville City Schools remain closed through April 3rd.  Beginning Monday, April 6th, Huntsville City Schools will begin implementation of a Blended Learning Plan.  The Rock Worship Center & The Dream Center, in partnership with The Manna House, will be continuing curbside meal distribution during spring break.  We are grateful for the support of our community!  For more information about the blended learning plan, academic enrichment activities, and spring break feeding sites, please use the More Information button below to visit the Coronavirus & Crisis Contingency Plan page.

Blake Borden

My name is Blake Borden. I am from Moulton, Alabama, a graduate of Lawrence County High School. I teach ETA electives this year. I assist with the XC team and assist with Track coaching the distance boys.

I am first and foremost a Christian. I am married to the love of my life Lauren and we live in the Huntsville High area. I enjoy spending time with my family, staying active with sports, watching college football (Roll Tide) and tv shows like "The Office." I loved my time at HMS from 2013-2015 esp. being a part of the school's first city track championship team in 12 years, and I have enjoyed the transition to high school.

After undergraduate & graduate school I worked as a mental health therapist with the Children's Services division at JBS Mental Health Authority in Birmingham for 6 months before entering the fifth-year M. Ed. program at Samford. While completing my degree at Samford I worked as a substitute teacher and was the head JV baseball coach as well as an assistant varsity boys basketball coach at LCHS.

I started teaching at Huntsville Middle as a social studies teacher in 2013 and was there for two years where I also coached the boys track team. This is my third year at HHS. I taught history for four years with last year's subject being AP World History.
