HHS-Cyber Wins the National Cyber Summit's Cyber Cup Challenge

The 2018-19 HHS-Cyber team keeps on winning.  Recently, they competed in the National Cyber Summit’s Cyber Cup Challenge against teams from across the nation in a capture the flag type event.  There were two divisions, professional and student, that competed in challenge with both divisions attempting to solve the same problems.  The HHS-Cyber team of Tiffany Dinh, Joseph Meagher, Josh Cantrell and John Dill took first place in the student division and had the third best score overall.  The student division was made up of local high school teams and university students from as far away as South Dakota.  Each student on the winning team received a $1200.00 scholarship as their prize.  Scholarship monies were provided by the companies of Netizen and Trideum.  All four of these students will be working in the cyber field this summer at various companies throughout the community.

This team is also the team that won the CyberPatriot Alabama State Championship and finished in the top 20 in the nation and many other capture the flag competitions throughout the year.
